Holiday Break
After a very intense semester and a busy year for Jordan, we went packed our bags and the dog and drove to Salt Lake. We spent our holiday break skiing, shopping, snowmobiling, cheering on the Utes and Trojans, Jazz games, sledding, Christmas party after Christmas party, and enjoying friends and family. We spent a couple days in Bear Lake and for Christmas eve, Jordan's mom surprised everyone and planned a horse drawn sled to pull the family around to sing Christmas carols. We had a great Christmas and it was good to be home till about Jan 2... This year I gave Jordan some new ski's and so we hit the slopes on the 2nd. Jordan talked me into going down a steep black diamond run with huge moguls, long story short, I got 1/4 way down and took a tumble and felt the dreaded "POP" in my right knee. I laid there in pain for about 10 min thinking how the hell am I going to get down the mountain because I'm not riding in that gay ski patrol sled thing. So I skied all the way down (VERY SLOWLY) on one leg to find out the run ended before the bottom of the mountain and your only option was to catch a lift back up to the top. I gave in and took a ride in the ski patrol sled :( I'm getting an MRI tomorrow and will find out what's next. The doctor thinks I tore my lateral meniscus and partially tore my ACL. Besides that were enjoying our own bed and sunshine in LA and trying to enjoy my last few days of freedom. I go back to school on Monday and will start my rotations in the OR in the middle of January. (I'm scared to death!!!) Jordan's still in the dog house for dragging me on that mountain and is playing catch up at work.

Top of Solitude, 12 degrees!
Snowmobiling at the cabin
Jordan being man handled by some cougars:)Thanksgiving in LA
Thanksgiving weekend shopping and hanging out in Manhattan Beach
Stimulating the economy on Black Friday
My dad walked around all day with the tags on his new shirt . Another prime example that my parents are getting old and crazy.
My family flew out to spend Thanksgiving with us in LA. We had dinner in our 2 bedroom apartment, went shopping, to the beach, and watched USC beat Notre Dame.Carey's 30th Birthday
Carey and I celebrating her 30th. She's also in the anesthesia program.

We met up with all the Bear Lake High School boys for a baseball tournament in Mesquite. We played a little black jack, stayed in the local Virgin River Hotel (big mistake-this place should be condemned, when they say rooms for $49-there's a reason), and Jordan came home with a bum knee, ripped pants, and 0-3!! Better luck next time
