Update & Wedding Pics...Finally

School has been kicking my a$$ lately with one test after another, so the blogging has been put on the back burner. Every week is like finals week and I can't wait to start my clinical rotations starting January. We have made time for golf, beach volleyball, and of course Trojan football games on the weekends. I thought Utah fans knew how to tailgate, but the Trojan community wins the award. We got season tickets to the football games and I had no idea what we were in for. It started with the parking, people come out of their homes and sit in their driveways waving
a stick with a fishing lure on the end of it, with a sign "Parking $30", and when you keep driving because your smarter then to leave your car in the back of a strangers run down house, they yell "fool". Tailgating consists of Woodstock like crowds, all with personal grills, 50 inch plasma screens with their own satellite dishes, lots of alcohol with complicated beer bongs, rowdy fans, opposing team mascot pinatas, and during the Oregon State games, a guy had dressed up his great daine in a USC cheerleading outfit with a rope tied around its neck and the other end tied to a rubber duckie (Oregon Ducks). Before the game we decided to go to the bookstore to store to stock up on some USC gear, we found an amusement park line just to get INTO the bookstore (its the Nordstroms of bookstores). Once into the game, it starts with Tommy the Trojan (mascot) stabbing the center of the field with his sword, and the crowd goes wild. Everytime were close to a 1st down, the crowd chants "big balls Pete (coach Pete Carol)" meaning don't kick and go for it. The stadium is huge, holds over 92,000 fans (Rice Eccles holds around 40,000). Tickets sell out for Every game in about 1 hour, and the cheapest seat is around 100 bucks for row 96!! The games are a blast and a good break from studying.

here are a few pics from the reception we had in Bear Lake...
